Luxurious Lakes lodge sleeps 12 people and can cost £9,000 to rent

Many brits are set to flock to the Lake District this summer as one of the UK’s most popular destinations for staycations.

Among the stunning properties that are available to rent across the national park is the Post Knott Lodge – which costs up to £9,000 a week.

The spectacular six-bedroom lodge sits in Bowness-On-Windermere and provides panoramic views over Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England.

Surrounded by mountains, the beautiful property offers a relaxing retreat in a contemporary-style chalet providing the ultimate form of relaxation.

Located at the start of the Dales way walk, there’s plenty of opportunity to embrace the outdoors and trial some of the lakes’ most famous walks such as the fells of Walna Scar, Black Fell Peak and Wansfell Pike.

Set over 6000 ft2, there are six lavish bedrooms and five bathrooms with the property sleeping 12 guests all together.

Transformed in 2020 by award winning developers Pin & Pin, the bespoke interior has been designed by local craftsmen to give a warm and cosy ambiance.

Come rain or shine, the lodge has several amenities and plenty of comfortable seating areas to make you feel right at home.

At the heart and soul of the home is the spacious living area which features a traditional wood burning stove, subtle lighting and comfortable seating to encourage guests to unwind, converse and enjoy their stay together.

A foldable wall of wooden doors lead into the modern kitchen with a large breakfast bar and abundance of appliances to help you cook up a storm.

Next to large bi fold doors is a refectory dining table that seats the full 12 guests – offering unrivalled views of the Lake District whilst you indulge.

When its time to wind down, you can relish in the cinema room that has been created from reclaimed barn timbers.

With subtle mood lighting, high tech surround sound, oversized loungers and beanbags, guests can enjoy films in a dark and cosy atmosphere.

Alternatively, on a beautiful summers night you can sit out on the outdoor terrace which stretches across the whole of the lodge.

With a rustic indoor-outdoor BBQ kitchen, a lavish lounge area, log burner, sound system and television, you’re set for a night of warmth where you can get together and admire the sunset.

Offering a tremendous night’s sleep are six lavish bedrooms, each complete with king size beds flaunting the finest linen, sprung mattresses and contemporary headboards.

On the top floor sits the large en-suite penthouse which provides the very best views of the Lake Distract from its own Juliet balcony.

Four other bedrooms, two with en-suites and three with balconies, are located on the middle floor along with a family bathroom.

The final bedroom is located on the ground floor and also comes with a private en-suite.

If the lodge couldn’t get any better, there’s also a fully equipped private gym and spa built into the hillside situated just below the main terrace, offering a sanctuary away from the rest of the house.

The natural slate walls and reclaimed pine ceiling create a opulent space for relaxation in the steam room or sauna. The house manager can also organise massages, spa treatments, personal training and class exercises for guests at your discretion.
