A cordon was in place after armed officers were dispatched to Church Walk on Friday night.
Nathan Cooper, 22, of no fixed abode, has been charged with common assault of a police officer. He was remanded to appear at court.
Police were called just after 6pm to an incident at a property in the Church Walk/Back Lane area of the town.
Armed officers were deployed and a cordon was put in place at the incident ‘as a precaution’.
There were no reported injuries and there was no perceived threat to the public, police said.
Two further men were arrested at the incident.
A 49-year-old-man from Ulverston, was arrested on suspicion of affray and has since been released with a police caution for possession of a class B drug.
A 43-year-old man from Ulverston, was also arrested on suspicion of affray.
He has since been released and no further action is to be taken following an investigation.
