Miraculous escape following horror car crash in Cumbria

All four occupants have escaped unhurt from a horror car crash in Cumbria.

An image shared in a post by the Cumbria Roads Police Twitter account showed the wrecked car after it had careered off the B5282 near the village of Arnside.

The picture shows the smashed up vehicle at the bottom of a grass verge with a wooden plank pierced through the windshield and a separate huge wooden shard penetrating the bonnet of the car, into the engine compartment and slanted toward the passenger seat inside the vehicle.
