Most exclusive streets in Barrow and how much it costs to live there

If I was to tell you that some houses in Barrow could see for as much as £625,00 you might find it hard to believe.

Barrow, which was historically part of Lancashire is a port town in the south of the county.

According to ‘Zed Index’ estimates (average property value) from Zoopla the average detached property sells for about £302,000, however, is the more expensive streets houses can sell for upwards of £450,000.

The average price paid for a semi-detached property in the last 12 months stood at £197,128, with terraced houses selling for £113,981.

Using data from property experts, Zoopla, we’ve looked at where the top five most expensive streets in and around Barrow are and what it would cost to buy a house there.

The Gardens

Current average price – £626,933

The average sold price for a property in The Gardens in the last 12 months is £525,000.

Two properties sold on this street in the last five years and the average price was £487,500.

In 10 years, three properties sold in the area with the average price being £481,666.

The Crescent

Current average price – £536,010

The average sold price for a property in The Crescent in the last 12 months is £585,000.

A total of two properties sold in the last five years, the average price was £537,500.

Within the last 10 years, five properties were sold on this street and the average price was £454,990.

Monks Croft Avenue

Current average price – £520,869

No houses were sold in the last 12 months in this area.

However, in the last five years, two houses were sold and the average price was £387,500.

This was the same for the last 10 years.

Croslands Park

Current average price – £482,596

The average sold price for a property in Croslands Park in the last 12 months is £343,000.

For the last 10 years, a whopping 14 houses sold at an average price of £363,321.

Coast Road, Rampside

Current average price – £456,473

No houses were sold in the last 12 months.

However, one house sold in the last five years at an average price of £360,000.

Two houses sold in the last 10 years at an average price of £320,000.
