A dramatic live interview saw This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield cut off a man who claimed to be Prince Charles’ son.
As the ITV presenter and his co-host Holly Willoughby were speaking to Simon Charles Dorante-Day on Thursday’s episode, it took a turn of events as a gatecrasher swore live on air.
Appearing by video link from his home in Australia, the 55-year-old man was interviewed following headlines he was claiming to be the ‘secret son’ of Prince Charles and Camilla.
He said that he had shown a photo of the royals to his grandmother, who then allegedly confirmed he was their son.
Host Phillip, 59, then called it a “stretch” when Simon showed photos of his children who he thought looked like the Queen and Charles.
Phil and Holly continued to question Simon on why he believes he is the son of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, reports the MEN.
But the chat became more tense when royal biographer Robert Jobson was brought in to offer his views.
Robert, who wrote Prince Charles at 70: Our Future King, dismissed Simon’s claims leading to the pair repeatedly talking over each other.
Phillip then waded in to offer the pair the chance to take a turn in responding to the question the presenters posed.
But the fiery interview was then cut short after Simon’s wife Elvianna gatecrashed and could be heard shouting off-screen.
As they tried to carry on, Simon’s wife yelled: “Stop treating indigenous people like s***!”
Phillip the instantly jumped in and said: “We’ll leave it there, Simon, unfortunately.”
“That wasn’t very royal was it?” he fired.
Holly then added: “Sorry for any bad language you heard there,” before introducing an ad break.
But Holly was trying to stifle her giggles as she reminded viewers of an upcoming phone-in with Vanessa Feltz and Phil was also seen and heard laughing on the sofa.
