Guy Fawkes Night is fast approaching and lots of places in and around Lancashire are putting on special bonfire and fireworks displays.
The excitement is understandable after the cancellation of so many displays last year due to the pandemic.
Many shoppers will also be on the hunt for cheap firework deals to mark the occasion with supermarkets one of the first ports of call.
If you’re planning a Bonfire Night celebration then there are some banging deals available on a wide range of fireworks.
Just remember that if you are planning a fireworks display then be mindful of pets and animals.
Vets have warned the loud bangs can be “very distressing” when they are let off unexpectedly.
We’ve rounded up the best deals from Aldi, Asda, Tesco, Lidl and Morrisons so you can pick up your supplies for less.
Tesco is selling fireworks in selected stores with multi-buy offers available on some fireworks, including three for £18.
However you must have a Clubcard to get these deals.
You can get a five-pack of sparklers for £1, a Northern Lights Selection Box featuring eight fountains, three shot tubes, three Roman candles and one Roman candle cake for £15 or a Grand Finale Box at £50.

Asda has a range of fireworks deals that range from 50p to £55.
A five-pack of gold sparklers costs 50p or you can get a five-pack of giant sparklers for £1.
The Hero Selection Box is available at for £12 (or two for £20) and the Space Blitz for £55 includes 93 shots.
Morrisons is not selling fireworks directly through their store but instead will have an in-store third party stall with Direct Fireworks. You will be able to buy fireworks from October 29.
Some prices we already know: five-pack of mega sparklers for 50p, a ‘Fantastic’ 20 shot barrage for £25 and the glity Viper display pack which includes a 14-piece selection box, 10 rockets, eight-shot barrage, five-shot tubes and 10 gold sparklers for £40.
The value supermarket is selling a 12-pack of giant 18-inch gold sparklers for £1.99.
If you’re looking for a selection of fireworks, the LOL Fireworks Selection Box includes one aerial firework, garden wheel, mine, two Roman candles and 12 fountains for £12.
In the ‘going all out box’, yhe Big Boom firework includes 188 shots and offers a colourful display and costs £60.
Lidl have a multibuy offer on in selected stores and is selling three for £20 on certain products.
This includes rockets, selection boxes, and shot aerial displays.
Their cheapest offer is £1.99 for 12 sparklers while their ‘fireworks trailblazer’ comes with a single ignition 90-shot firework “with a fantastic glitter crackle finale”, for £39.99.
Sainsbury’s were the first major supermarket to ban the sale of fireworks after a pet charity warned of the impact.
The move was announced in 2019 and is being continued for 2021. This is being congratulated by Dog’s Trust.
Other supermarkets are yet to follow suit, but Asda did announce that they have launched a range of low noise fireworks.
Co-op stopped selling them five years ago and has no plans to bring them back.
