Tesco, Iceland, Co-op and Sainsbury’s warning with customers told to not eat popular items

Oysters and shellfish are among the latest items being recalled by food providers over fears they’ve become contaminated with norovirus.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued alerts to customers with symptoms including sudden onset nausea, projectile vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, abdominal pain and aching limbs.

Supermarkets are also taking other items off the shelves over health and safety fears, with Tesco, Iceland, Co-op and Sainsbury’s affected.

The FSA has produced and updated a list of all the items currently being recalled, as well as the reason why.

Some food items contain sesame, milk or crustaceans not listed on the label while others are being recalled due to incorrect date labelling.

Anyone who has bought the items listed below can return them to the supermarket or shop in exchange for a full refund, either with or without a receipt.

LancsLive has pulled together the full details of each affected product, including their product code, used by date and in some cases their picture and pack sizes.

Not every item on there will be harmful to everyone, especially in the case of allergies, but it is worth checking to make sure you are not at risk.

Here are the items affected on the list:
